I am writing to say I support these changes as I believe that FINRA is not trustworthy to self regulate. Large financial institutions need much more transparency, and the very purpose of the stock market should be kept in mind. The retirement funds of millions of Americans hangs on the line, and their status as shareholders should not be dismissed because they lack the time or aptitude to understand complex market workings. When money goes into workers 401k(s) each month, through brokers and out into the market, they should have faith that every middle man in the system isn't tricking them into overpaying to line their own pockets or manipulate the market.
