December 21, 2022 Re: Proposed Regulation Best Execution I am retired and a small investor in US equities. Please review my comments regarding Proposal 2022-226. I respectfully disagree with a proposal that still allows alternative routing. This continues to leave the door open for Money Makers/Brokers to manipulate trading to the marked disadvantage of small investors, like myself. Investors need authority to route directly to lit exchanges, unequivocally, when they so desire. I'm just a working man that helped keep the lights on for my friends and neighbours. It is for these folks that I implore you to level the playing field for small investors. If the SEC wants small investors to continue to contribute to the nations prosperity it will act in the best interests of the little guy instead of \"too big to fail\" entities that put profits before moral responsibility.
