January 8, 2023 Aside from all the economic analysis and the rational arguments, I feel sad for all the retail investors who did nothing wrong who are about to be completely decimated due to fraudulent activities by certain hedge funds and market makers involving swaps that are allowed to go unreported. So much unnecessary pain, broken marriages, ruined childhoods and lost retirements -- to say nothing of suicides and people lost to vices to cope with financial losses. The SEC must step up its game to properly regulate the U.S. financial markets rather than allowing financial behemoths to bankrupt working families and destroy middle-class America via naked short selling and massive conflicts of interest.
