October 31, 2022 Huge, unreported swaps lead to a more fragile market, with even more obscure and opaque financial instruments far beyond a retail investors ability to understand. It also short-circuits price discovery as assets rise and fall not based on anything having to do with the underlying company, but on the entangled swaps that the asset is roped into. Anything the SEC can do to curtail this practice helps the little guy have a fighting chance in the market. Isn't that what America is all about?
