October 31, 2022 I believe the American people deserve more transparent and fair markets. This proposal is a step in the right direction. Large financial institutions use complexities of Swaps/derivatives etc.. to avoid transparency in their actions. If these institutions are going to use these types of methods as a commonplace in our markets then they must be reported on regularly and the contents of the positions must be known.
