The current state of swap reporting and the amount of access the average investor has to this information is embarrassing. The CFTC off a whim can delay reporting for a year, and then do so again once time runs out. The lack of transparency and the urge to delay reporting makes the entire situation seem like someone is trying to buy more time before the cat comes out of the bag.

Swap information is just data. Data can be reported on every day, just as a large chunk of financial information is updated every day. This level of transparency and frequency of information allows the average investor to investigate and research more effectively, and as the SEC, allowing an even and fair playing field for all investors should be your top priority.
