Simply put, Dark Pools are the bane of trade and allow Market Makers the opportunity to manipulate the market in ways that the general retail investor can't possibly contend with or against.
I'm both embarrassed for myself as an investor and for our financial system that these practices have been accepted both in general and especially after the 2008 collapse. There's been zero reform or accountability and I sincerely hope that's something that can change to allow retail investors to engage the market from a place of security knowing that our investments will be managed in the same way as MM and SHF.
What I want is transparency for all who invest which seems completely reasonable as a single investor.
