I support this rule because as a household investor, I deserve fairer markets. From my understanding, It is unjust that a few major firms such as Citadel and Virtu capture a large share of orders because I believe there should be more competition amongst participants. I believe we need to see higher fines for perpetrators in order to deter them from repeat violations. The current system allows said firms to operate in a monopolistic fashion, where tens (50+) of fines are just a "cost of business". The system is in dire need of an overhaul, and this rule is a step in the right direction.
