March 25, 2023 Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the proposed rule for order competition, S7-31-22. I support the rule and hope this will lead to more orders making it to the lit market. I was very surprised when I heard Chair Gensler state that roughly 90% of retail orders do not make it to the lit market. How did we get to this point? This is a huge conflict of interest and I support any rule that will increase competition for retail order flow. The current state of American markets is clearly anticompetitive and this must be changed.
