February 23, 2023 The proposal should be passed to benefit individual investors by promoting competition and transparency. Why are broker dealer orders being prevented directly to a lit market? What is stopping market makers like Virtue Financial and Citadel Securities from paying more for auctioned orders to run retail trades through the OTC and prevent proper stock price discovery - as they have been doing for years with payment for order flow?
