It would be unnecessary and inappropriate to prevent investors from buying inverse or leveraged funds. It is enough that it is made clear that the risk of owning such funds may be much higher than average. Then, investors who choose to take the risk should be free to do so. The flip side is the potential high returns that may be made on these funds. It is up to the investor to weigh the risks and potential rewards and proceed according to their own judgment.
