My first and lasting consideration on 14a-8 is that to what end and to whom would this be beneficial? And the answer, quite clearly, is that those who run major corporations do not want to be bothered with questions (and a clear process) that could actually be beneficial economically for the interests of minority stockholders who care just as much about corporate success as any major stockholder.
As a senior citizen I am not eager for those in power positions in corporations to have an increasing control of economic decisions that affect all of us.
I have seen the positive impact that a few concerned stockholders have had over the years and I want that environment to endure. To dismiss this procedure to make things easier for a few is not healthy or sustainable.
