Vanessa Countryman,
I'm at a loss as to why the SEC would want to corporate CEO's less accountable to Investors and the public. The SEC attempting to make shareholder oversight more difficult is troubling and certainly not what shareholders and the public want.
The SEC is the federal agency responsible for protecting American investors should want a system in place to check the power of corporations and management and should want transparency instead of trying to block shareholder efforts.
The new rules make it harder not easier for shareholders and investors to raise issues with corporate management. The SEC should be facilitating shareholder democracy, not undermining it. This new set of rules should not be advanced.
Thank you for your consideration.
