Under the Trump administration, it has instead undermined the rights of shareholders as it greatly increases the economic power of the owners of corporations. The current agenda to create policies which would make it harder for investors to raise emerging issues with managers is an affront to middle class voters and is harming the overall health of capitalism and democracy.
