Rule Comments,
Corporations would not succeed without people and without an environment from which to draw resources. They are there for indebted to and responsible to shareholders and the environment. The SEC's job is to ensure proper corporate accountability.
I am a healthcare professional, and I am invested in retirement plans. I care about corporate responsibility—labor standards, executive compensation, human rights and the environment. I expect the SEC to hold accountable corporate CEOs in order to maintain sustainability for themselves, their businesses, people, and the environment. Do not shift power unwisely in favor of CEOs. Without shareholders, businesses are nothing. Shareholders must have a real voice.
