Rule Comments, My name is Michael LaGassey and I am a small business owner in the construction industry. I am concerned about corporate CEOs trying to make it harder for those of us who have stocks to submit shareholder proposals encouraging companies to act more responsibly in areas of social policy, such as reforming executive pay, respecting human rights, upholding labor standards, and protection of the environment. Many working people are invested in companies through their retirement savings and depend on shareholder proposals as part of a democratic process that holds corporate CEOs accountable.
