Rule Comments, I oppose a change to the rules to make it more difficult to submit shareholder proposals. Between my University pension and my retirement savings funds, I have a lot (to me) of money invested in public companies. I depend on this money to support me in retirement, but I feel guilty about profiting from environmental damage, greenhouse gas release, and labor exploitation. Shareholder proposals are a way for me and people like me to try to get the companies we have supported with our money to follow practices closer to our consciences.
