I am strongly opposed to the proposed changes to Rule 14a-8 regarding shareholder proposals. These changes would weaken a process that is increasingly important to transparency in our democracy and responsible governance in American business. Small shareholders have advanced important proposals related to responsible risk management related to the economic impact of climate change. The FEC must fulfill its responsibility to "protect investors" and not disenfranchise any shareholders. Charles Carpenter [redacted]
