September 7, 2022 I am in favor of the proposed governance requirements for all registered clearing agencies for the following reasons: 1. Increased governance will increase faith in the liquidity of financial markets. 2. Increased governance reduces the risk of idiosyncratic risks of being present in our financial markets. 3. These rule changes make our self regulatory institutions more efficient by focusing their regulatory mandates on markets 4. This rule keeps participants within clearing agencies safe. I would also like to add in addition to my approval of the above proposition that these rules do not go far enough. More can be done to improve our clearing agencies but this is a good start.
