I completely agree, with SEC. Flash orders must be banned. It goes against all principles of fair dealings and principles of capitalism and democracy.
I am a private investor and do not have the sophistication and the technology that the hedge funds and institutional investors have. Before the order gets to me it can me manipulated by members of the exchange, and I could be at a big disadvantage.
I think more regulation and more transparency is desperately needed.
A good place to start would be the ban of flash orders.
