As a person that has been invested in the market I have no idea how insider trading or the fact that there are so many loopholes that people of power can abuse knowledge to financially prosper to levels that are just insane compared to the general public. We are talking about a law to update another law. With that said any law or regulation that needs to be updated is flawed. All people of government or private that has information about companies at that high of a level should be excluded from the market. They are profiting from information that they can literally determine with their votes or persuasion. This is so disheartening that we are even discussing this.
