October 8, 2022 As a retail trader, I strongly support the transparency that comes with transaction by transaction reporting. Aggregate reporting does not offer transparency and allows some institutions to take advantage of this rule to commit fraud. The convenience of allowing some institutions to get execution in the aggregate is vastly unfair to the traders who don't, suffering a worse execution, and more transparency. Transaction by transaction reporting bridges that gap, by creating a fair playing field for both institutions and retail investors, forcing transparency and same execution. By disallowing this rule, institutions are able to hide fraud in aggregates.
