 Dear Sir or Madam,

As an European investor with a significant part of my net worth invested in the US stock market, I was overjoyed when I learned about the new proposed rule months ago. In my opinion, its a giant step in the direction of a fair and just market for all.

I learned about the SEC in my university in The Netherlands as a strong organisation capable of steering, shaping and enforcing the legal landscape of securities markets. The new proposed rule to the reporting of securities loan restores that image.

The key to compliance is transparency. Transparency of short selling evens out the playing field between retail investors and institutions with nearly unlimited resources. The costs necessary to implement such a reporting ecosystem are well worth the effort and the affected institutions are certainly capable of beating them.

By implementing and enforcing this rule in its current form, the SEC would regain the trust and respect of retail investors all around the world. Its a game changer, Im a big fan.

Yours sincerely,
