I strongly support the SEC's proposed new rule for mandatory climate risk disclosures by publicly traded companies.

It is about time that investors were able to assess how exposed particular companies are to the inevitable costs associated with the changing climate and increased incidences of flooding, extreme weather. drought, loss of ecosystems, soil, and wildlife as well as potential costs due to future legislation in furtherance of moving to a green economy.

Mandatory reporting of such risks will also force companies to develop mitigation and exigency plans which will also be beneficial to investors in these companies.

In addition, \"green\" investors will have more information available to guide their investment decisions to avoid those businesses and industries with higher environmental impact.
