June 3, 2022 ESG disclosures are very much needed. While some big companies are already voluntarily doing this, it is imperative that this is made binding on all businesses. Investors need to know the impact of climate change and the risks it poses for businesses they are investing in. This requirement would level the playing field if every publicly traded company is required to make these disclosures. Also, businesses absolutely need to take collective action in order to respond effectively to the climate crisis.
