 I disagree that the SEC should require reporting of emissions.  The EPA serves this function and oversight.  SEC implementation now would only cause further damage to companies and markets.  The current EPA and international GHG reporting rules are too general and vague to control and standardize tracking, calculating, and publishing of GHG emissions data opening up opportunity for fraud and misleading information.  The SEC certainly doesn't have the capacity to correct that which means that businesses will suffer.  SEC needs to regulate and hold market makers accountable for HFT and PFOF, not add fuel to the fire by more loosely implemented rules and regs.
