It is a bad idea to let Dealer/Broker set the fund fees. Several of the larger Dealer/Brokers will see this as an advantage to gain market share and reduce fees to under market equilibrium. They may even pay their reps without charging the customer anything, just to drive out smaller independents. This is a bad idea and will cost the consumer the support they need and typically get from the wholesalers and registered reps.
