I work with a lot of smaller investors that would not normally seek advice on thier own. I believe the ability to allow Broker Dealers to set the fee schedule will allow smaller unsophistacated invesotors to be taken advantage of. Anytime you give someone the opportunity to make more money and charge their own fees the public may not understand it and will result in less services and more fees.
