I have been a licensed insurance agent for 38 years and a registered representative for 32 years. I do support the 12b-2 service fee and will tell you that getting rid of it will harm the small investor.
I do object to the SEC setting up a new class of shares at NAV that would allow broker dealers to sert their own sales charge and commission amount. This will only hurt the representative and the service given to the smaller investor. We need the small investor to save so they can support themselves long term. They need advice and service.

The people you at SEC are trying to protect will in the long run be hurt the most.

I would like to say that it is a great profession and I feel I am helping many to help themselves over the long run.
