I completely oppose allowing broker-dealers to set their own commissions.
We understand that their are crooks out their ruining our name as an "advisor" but making quick decisions without thinking it through and asking the real advisors that are going through the proper channels and doing what is right for the client at all times.
We as a nation need to slow down about making changes and I am all for telling the client what is happening and the fees but the more you add the more complex and over the head of the client a program becomes.
Please slow down and think before we make bad decision at the price of us trying to make a living and forcing the client to make rash decisions based on fear tactics.
