12b-1 fees are mainly paid to non-fee based advisors. For the most part the fees are the only way we get paid to take care of and maintain our clients portfolio's.Removing or changing the fees is an attempt by the government to stop the advisors from commiting white collar crimes. This will have no impact on the very few advisors in the United States that commit such crimes, in fact it will hurt the very consumer you are trying protect by limiting them on who is available to help them with their investing. This is not the answer and I strongly erge you to leave the 12-b1 fees as is.
