I am a lifelong democrat in full support of regulation and Government oversight and I will be voting for Sen Boxer in November. I however stongly urge you NOT TO SUPPORT the "Fair Playing Field Act of 2010" by Sen. Kerry / McDermott. The bill will take away our independence as Financial Planners and force us into a Corporate environment to the detriment of us and our clients.
The Act amounts to nothing but passing responsibility down the line from the Generals to the foot soldiers. We are already being over-regulkated to the point that I am spending 50% of my time on passing `Anti-Miney Laundering` and other compliance tests and conforming to often useless rules rather than serving my clients.
