I am not in favor of the current 12b-1 fee reform that is being proposed. My client base is mainly middle class and I am proud that I can assist these clients in their financial retirement planning. If the changes to the 12b-1 fees take place I will not be able to service several of my clients due to the lost revenue that will result from the reform.
My current business is split between mutual funds and Life Insurance sales. I currently have an office in the town of Parker--if the reform of the 12b-1 fees take place I may not be able to afford my office which then would impact the town of Parker, the building leasing company and office supply vendors.
By reducing the 12b-1 fees I believe it will have a negative fact on the economy.
