Please eliminate the 12B-1 fees, as they are no longer relevant in todays society. Back in 1980 when no one knew what a mutual fund was this was acceptable to use shareholder funds for marketing expenses.

Now in 2010, the fees are seen as excessive and do not provide a shareholder with any added value. They only reason to keep charging the 12B-1 fee is so that mutual fund companies can pay there wholesalers more money to push new products or products that have had a high number of outflows.

There is no evidence that supports 12B-1 fees are a benefit to the shareholder.
