Thank you for taking the time to review my comments. As a small business owner, let me first say that I am certainly in favor of this order. After personal experience and multiple conversations with fellow start-up executives, this exemption if exercised could provide a substantial financial relief to any start-up, especially those who may not have the luxury to have the infancy stages funded by family and close friends. I'd also like to touch on the fact that after reading the majority of the comment section, it seems as though the people who are not in favor of this order are concerned with the position of registered broker-dealers being in jeopardy. This stance is clearly founded in the unreasonable fear that unregistered finders would be able to fulfill the position of licensed broker-dealers. The self interest of the broker-dealer firms, NOT the best interest of small business itself, is driving these comments on behalf of companies or firms that are already too big to be concerned with this order. The majority of businesses this order would be assisting would be businesses that broker-dealers of any sized firm would not be interested in raising capital for to begin with. An order like this would help quality start-up sized companies with legitimate lack of resources have a significantly better chance at succeeding. In the land of opportunity, we need to challenge the status-quo in order to continue providing equal opportunity to honest, dedicated, hard working entrepreneurs and business owners.
