I’m writing because I am concerned about the American economy.
Our financial practices are rewarding people to profit corporations and the people who direct them rather than valuing the people who support our economy.
I believe our financial system needs to be structured in such a way that ensures that all people have the financial means to live meaningful lives and to assist the healthy development of their children. When our financial system directs money to the hands of the already wealthy, the livelihoods of those who are already disenfranchised, especially their children, declines and people are led to engage in criminal activity in an attempt to make enough money to show that they are valuable human beings.
Our financial system's values need to value the poor and oppressed in our country rather than those who already have wealth and prestige. When we accomplish that task, we will all be able to spend more time with our friends and family. Love will return to America.
