The country is on the edge of collapse because of risky, greedy behavior by Wall Street and other economic forces.
The bonus system encourages modern-day cowboys. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain by engaging in questionable investment schemes. Our pension and health cared may be vulnerable due to investment losses.
I would like to see Wall Street accountable for losses they cause and not just rewarded when they bring in profits. They need to have sound, moral investment strategies that benefit their clients as a whole and not some very wealthy clients and themselves. If we lose they should.
Off track a little, but selling short, futures and other betting on markets, is not beneficial to the economy as a whole. In the commodities markets, it artificially drives up prices.
Make Wall Street and other market forces accountable for their actions.
