I’m writing because my family and I were affected by the economic collapse of 2008, and we don’t want it to happen again. Both my college-graduate daughters find themselves in a world where jobs are few and the possibilities of life in the United States appear extremely limited.

The only way to make Wall Street bankers accountable to  interests of the country beyond their own is to reform the compensation practices under which they operate. Delaying the bonuses they receive 5 to 7 years, enough time to prove whether the investments made are sound enough to succeed, is the most important step. Bonuses now for business decisions that are destined to fail down the road is what got us into economic crisis.

Thank you for considering my comment,
