Subject: Keep Farms and Ranches Out of Rule S7-10-22

Dear Secretary Vanessa Countryman,

I'm a 6th generation farmer and rancher from Southern Iowa who is concerned about the proposed SEC rule (S7-10-22) requiring publicly traded companies to disclose 3 scopes of greenhouse gas emissions. Our goods (beef) are sent to publicly traded processors, retailers, and restaurants. Collecting the data required with be almost impossible to do, let alone the burden it will place on family farmers and ranchers who are small, private businesses, not publicly traded companies!

This is an egregious overreach of the SEC, and we ask that the SEC, at a minimum, remove scope 3 emissions from this rule.

Farmers and ranchers have been practicing land and water conservation for generations - we are active environmentalists, not environmental activists. Please consider the far-reaching negative impacts on America's food producers when considering this rule!

Thank you for your consideration of my message.

Sincerely,
Landi Livingston
