 It is not clear to me how the SEC is empowered to suggest/make climate policy changes. Perhaps laying out how the SEC would be held accountable for the results of the proposed rule would be helpful. As a consumer and shareholder of several companies, I don't see the value that this proposed rule creates. The only certainty is that this rule will make products and services cost more and these costs are always passed on to ordinary citizens like myself. Given our current inflationary environment and rising costs of living (fuel, groceries, medical care, housing, etc.) I do not support any change that further drives consumer costs up.
