As a taxpayer and citizen of the United States, I STAND OPPOSED to The Enhancement and Standardization of Climate-Related Disclosures for Investors [Release No. 33-11042; File No. S7-10-22] for the following reasons: The PROPOSED RULES: -Increases government control of USA businesses, both large and small. -Creates a corporate “social credit score”* (often referred to as “ESG”) because "Social credit scores" may be used to restrict banking, loans and commerce. -SEC has no authority over climate policies and lacks scientific expertise. -SEC was created to fight investor fraud. -Create excessive regulations that increase inflation. -Bloats the Federal bureaucratic swamp. -Allow activist investors to punish companies not "green" enough by decreasing investment– i.e. oil, gas and coal companies that power the economy. I STAND OPPOSED to S7-10-22.
