Regarding the SEC proposed rule for Climate-Related Disclosures for Investors. This is absolutely ludicrous! You are creating an inefficiency in the market and yet another unnecessary cost of being a public company. Public companies will end up hiring professional box checkers who determine what the SEC is looking for, and they will pay the box checkers to check the proper boxes, and all of this will add cost to being a public company while accomplishing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Then the box checkers will lobby Congress to make sure the rules never change, because were they to change, thousands of box checkers would lose their jobs gaming the ridiculous system! Meanwhile, American businesses become less competitive. All to allow somebody virtue signal that they care about climate. Give me a break - please kill this complete garage rule! William A.
