My comments are simple and straightforward. Various news articles have noted SEC comments that, investors are demanding climate impact data. I am an investor. I am not demanding it. Some are, but they are overwhelmingly a minority. Most shareholder climate disclosure proposals have failed, often by large margins.
There is no need for these rules, no real demand for these rules, and the SECs continued March towards ever more compliance and costs will just drive even more companies out of the public market - a much bigger, negative impact on investors than the non-existent problem these rules pretend to solve.
