I want to voice my disagreement to the SEC proposal forcing companies to disclose environmental risks. This is nothing more than an employment contract for attorneys. Do companies have to disclose the risks of an asteroid hitting the earth? How about the risks of an earthquake in a particular region? Many things are unknowable and the \"science\" behind environmental changes is still debatable. The SEC should continue to focus its attention on fraud perpetrated on unsuspecting investors. Catch all the Bernie Madoff's of the world before solving \"problems\" that don't need solving.
