To Whom It May Concern: I ,and most Americans, realize that we will eventually need to wean ourselves off of fossil fuels. That time is coming and fairly soon with advances in electric cars and solar energy. BUT IT IS NOT HERE YET!!! Electric cars are still too expensive for a lot of people and the increased pressure on an already stressed and overburdened electrical grid will cause massive blackouts. In the meantime it just makes sense to be as energy independent as possible. The shutting down of oil pipelines while encouraging other countries to increase their production is just plain idiotic. It costs the government and American citizens money they can't afford to fill their vehicles and heat there homes. To be doing this on purpose is just plain stupid. Regards, Lynn Gralheer
