I am an investor who is also extremely concerned about climate change. The proposed rules would provide information that would be useful to me in deciding which public companies are worthy of investment. Current green-house gas emissions are unstainable. It is important to know which businesses are on a sustainable path before making an investment decision. It is also important to be able to compare apples to apples, so having a federal rule will make those comparisons possible.
