Vanessa A. Countryman, Please do not move forward with the proposed rule requiring information about a registrant's climate-related risks. For these reasons: 1. The proposal is politically motivated. 2. Investors are not clamoring for this information. 3. It will raise costs for businesses, thus adding to inflation. 4. Adding SEC staff to manage this rule will add to government spending and debt This is clearly a politically related proposal. The SEC should be above politics. Contrary to claims, investors are not clamoring for this information. I held a securities license (series 7 & 66) for 20 years. Not once did an investor ask for this information. The costs for gathering the required information can be very high. These costs will be passed on to consumers, thus exasperating inflation. Management of this rule will require additional SEC staff. The cost of the additional staff will add to government spending and debt. Mark Robertson
