I fully support the climate disclosures suggested by the SEC.

As an independent investor, I rely on the aggregation of publicly available information on the companies I invest in. I have made a financial plan for my family and my life that prioritizes not just moral actions and results but also diversions away from long term global risks. Without knowing for instance a company’s REAL and true exposure to specific volatilities in for instance the fossil fuel industries (such as we are seeing right now from war amongst commodity nations) than I put my families long term financial goals at risk.

This is not just about big scale or huge investment companies. Small scale investors also must be able to exert our own, albeit small, influence over the moral landscape of the market. It should be our legal right to know all exposures and risks a company has. Not just to allocate our investments for monetary growth, but to exert our small finger of pressure on the moral arc. The more knowledge your agency demands the companies provide, the more educated I can be about these decisions I find extremely important.
