I am against this proposed rule. This rule would cost companies a lot of money. In addition, the benefits are no quantifiable. Monitoring companies and adjusting to these new rules will result in the SEC needing even more money from Congress. The United States already has so many laws in regards to greenhouse gas monitoring that it makes it incredibly challenging to compete with businesses that operate in China, a major, if not the biggest, global greenhouse contributor that even affects United States air quality.
