I respectfully request that S7-10-22 be adopted. As a society, we need to stop burying our heads in the sand and need to take real action concerning climate change. Just like the maxim that \"an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,\" the price we pay now to mitigate or even avoid the consequences of climate change will be drastically cheaper than the costs associated with an unchecked, rapidly changing climate. We need to be on the right side of history so that we can look future generations in the eyes and explain that we took the right action at the right time. S7-10-22 is the right action at the right time.
